RANDOM ACT OF CULTURE: Hallelujah Chorus Flash Event ROCKS MALL -Watch!

DID YOU CATCH THIS?

On Saturday, the Opera Company of Philadelphia snuck 650 choristers from 28 participating organizations into Macy’s in Center City Philadelphia to perform one of the Knight Foundation’s “Random Acts of Culture”.

This is one of my favorite pieces of music, and is strong medicine for the early winter blues.   I love watching this flash event..to me it’s the perfect blend of the secular and the spiritual, the shopping frenzy and the profound tradition of “Good Cheer” which still has the power to work its Mojo among total strangers!

Turn your speakers up and watch this one!
